Kevin Birardi, founder of Birardi and Associates LLC, is a retired homicide detective with over 25 years of law enforcement experience in a major metropolitan police department in New York State. He also served as a Special Deputy with the United States Marshals Service, assigned to the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, where he was responsible for tracking and apprehending some of the nation’s most dangerous fugitives.

Throughout his distinguished career, Kevin led complex, high-profile investigations and conducted thousands of interviews with complainants, witnesses, and suspects. His methodical approach allowed him to analyze, interpret, and triage information efficiently, resulting in successful case resolutions supported by thorough evidence review and detailed interviews.

Kevin’s expertise in interview and interrogation techniques, along with meticulous case preparation, consistently led to property recovery, monetary restitution for victims, and offender convictions.

He is a graduate of the Force Science Institute, where he earned certification as an Advanced Force Science Specialist. This intensive program focused on human performance in both stress and non-stress conditions, further enhancing Kevin’s ability to assess behavior, evaluate credibility, and explore new avenues during interviews and investigations.

Kevin has also applied his investigative skills in the private sector to assist with cases involving employee misconduct, workplace harassment, and corporate integrity violations. Each investigation is conducted with precision and discretion, resulting in confident case closures backed by comprehensive, well-documented reports.

Beyond his investigative and law enforcement work, Kevin dedicated 25 years to a suburban volunteer fire department, ultimately serving as Chief of Department. In this role, he managed emergency services personnel during fire and medical emergencies and collaborated closely with the department’s executive staff. As a Chief Officer, he was responsible for conducting risk analysis and mitigation, overseeing budget planning, and investigating internal personnel complaints—further strengthening his leadership, organizational, and investigative skills.
